The Mobile Response Team (MRT) is designed to be able to provide quick, mobile and adaptable responses in two or more locations simultaneously, after an Inter-Agency Rapid Assessment (IRNA) is conducted. The specific activities of the MRT are as follows:
The distribution took place inside the UNMISS base within the POC site. Mosquito nets were transported to the site using IOM trucks from the IOM and UNICEF rub holes, casual labourers were hired to load and offload to distribution site.
NFI and emergency shelter response targets people affected by humanitarian emergencies. Wherever possible, extremely vulnerable individuals should receive additional support as required, in coordination with protection partners. Additionally, where supply constraints are a factor that cannot be overcome, vulnerability targeting can be employed to determine beneficiaries.
Distribution was done in Koradar at an open space which is used for food distributions. The beneficiaries were queuing in the shade where registration took place. After verification and thumb printing on the distribution list the beneficiaries were issued with a token for their family size which they used to get their NFIs. They then proceeded to distribution area where they were served with pre-arranged NFIs according to family size. It was all peaceful and no issues with crowd control or gender.
The distribution took place in Jonglei state, Bor south county, Anyidi payam, Bor Protection of Civilian site or camp. It was a quick response from Intersos to some requests of shelter assistance coming from IDPs in the PoC, verified by Intersos/Acted team on 15th of October.
