INTERSOS and IOM conducted an intervention in Karam in Uror County, Jonglei state.
The area remained isolated for months (up to September), since eruption of violence in Northern Jonglei early this year.
The team delivered support by providing life-sustaining NFI to 2,500 households or 13,783 individuals. Affected population are IDPs originating from affected areas (e.g. Yuai, Modit, Pathai, Motot, Waat) and vulnerable host communities who have been sharing their already inadequate resources with IDPs coming since February 2017. Both IDPs and host community experienced access and movement restrictions due to insecurity across the county preventing access to markets and natural resources. Amongst beneficiaries were 60 households or 293 Individuals referred by Oxfam protection partner.
